Sorry I forgot in my last post to add the feeding diet
The birds are fed with a basic dry seed mix with paddy rice
They received every day a mixture of soaked seeds with commercial eggfood (orlux or cede)
+ frozen buffalo worms and pinkies.
They appreciate very much these additionnal source of protein
I use frozen insects from Top Insect which are more easy to feed the birds, especially because I travel a lot and my wife does not want to make it with live insects .....
Green food is also offered regularly, with insectivorous food
Red spray millet is always available for the birds.
I notice that the birds are not difficult regarding the food and quite curious to new food.
Due to the fact I breed them in colony there is always one bird to come to the feeding dish when I give new food.
My egg food is made of a selection of commercial eggfood such as orlux or Cédé on which I add some Breedmax and spirulina.
It makes the soft food greenish but the birds are used to it now
